Capyburia was built upon a series of interconnected marsh-forts. When the Blight arrived, it didn’t come by the roads; it came through the water. The undead (the "Shamblers") didn't rot in the humid swamps; they bloated, becoming buoyant, waterlogged terrors that drifted silently toward the city gates under the cover of the morning mist. The Capyburian soldiers, known for their "unshakable calm," refused to break formation even as the water turned black with the rising dead. They stood waist-deep in the mire, firing until their powder was wet and their bayonets snapped.
