When you go back into your time machine at the end of a wave, you can pick a random weapon or armor, picking one will replace what you previously had. You also have a thing called upgrade points that you can use to upgrade your weapon or armor with each one have a random 1-3 upgrades. You can get uprgrade points by finishing a wave or picking it in the pick spot, they can be used in your inventory by clicking your armor or weapon. Every 5 waves a merchant appears, the merchant can make your weapon or armor power higher or turn them into an elite form (being the better version), you can tell if something is an elite by the blue background. every 6 waves there is a boss fight so good luck.
