The arena for the 21st Annual Hunger Games took place on a small, isolated island off the eastern coast of District Ten. The terrain was almost entirely flat, dotted with towering palms that provided much-needed shade from the relentless tropical heat. Coconuts were plentiful, offering tributes an easy source of food—though several had been rigged with hidden explosives, leading to multiple deaths throughout the Games. Fresh water was far more scarce, with only a single reliable source available on the entire island.
