About & history
PLAY THE STORY: THE HOLLOWING Your helicopter is down. The forest is listening. Follow a mysterious radio signal to an abandoned ranger station, through dark caves and into a hidden research laboratory. Uncover what connects the creatures in the woods, face the Warden, and decide the fate of the Heart. STORY MODE A five-chapter survival-horror campaign with puzzles, boss fights, hidden recordings and three endings. Play solo or invite friends for up to 6-player co-op. Choose STORY MODE in the main menu to begin, or CONTINUE STORY to return to your campaign. SURVIVAL & HARDCORE Gather, hunt, craft and build in the open wilderness. Survive increasingly dangerous days, or test your one life in Hardcore and climb the Days Survived leaderboard. Your world is private by default. Save your progress and return when you are ready. Will you escape the forest, destroy its secret, or discover another way?
