Taya-Tayaan [BETA]

Taya-Tayaan (also called Tayaan or Bilaran) is a popular traditional Filipino chasing game played by children in neighborhoods, schoolyards, and open spaces. The game is simple, energetic, and requires no equipment—just a group of at least three players and a designated playing area. How it works: One player is chosen as the "taya" (the it or chaser), often through a counting-out rhyme like "Pen-pen de sarapen." The taya closes their eyes and counts to a set number while the other players scatter and run. Once the count ends, the taya opens their eyes and chases the other players, trying to tag them. A tagged player becomes the new taya, and the game continues.
