About

This unfinished, never-released Open Horizons map started development sometime around early-to-mid 2019, succeeding the scrapped Edgebrook V2. Taking a more "based on real-life" approach, this map was set in the city of Rock Ford, IL, circa 1970, whereas the previous games were set in fictional cities. The map was planned to be large in size, and as similar as possible to its real life counterpart. Due to historical inaccuracies, problems with the terrain style, and considerations on how difficult making the map would be, it was scrapped completely in February 2020. The map never exceeded more than 1500 studs in size, and the only area built was the outskirts of the town. The map was succeeded by Edgebrook V3, which was also eventually scrapped. Progress made during the development of this map included the first player housing system (buyable houses), and improved road style. The game has been modified slightly since being scrapped: changes may have included lighting/scripts.
