A Night at the Trench

A small trench in the Battle of the Bulge, 5 soldiers were left to patrol the area while reinforcements came, they never did, they were told that German infantry will come to attack, they never did, they were told they would get an ammo drop due to their ammunition being low, they never did, they're stuck here to freeze in the trench, every night they hear something from the distance, it doesn't sound like an animal or human, and its not reinforcements marching or a plane flying overhead, its inhuman, these defenseless soldiers only have food and water, nothing to protect themselves with, all is silent, except for my narration, but see what these soldiers do at night
