The Fort Jackson was a tender / ferry built for the Horizon Star Line in 1909, to service the S.S. Stallion in Savannah. After the Stallion's sinking in 1917, she went onto service the Savannah to Charleston route. She sank in 1950 just 5 months before it would have been retired from the service.
