Survival of the Lamenters and Stuff

The Lamenters are a bizarre form of life known to dwell in the dangerous and unearthly forests of Deadwood. They were first reported by locals in the 1940s as being "wails during the night" and "flickering lights among the trees and rocks" They are known, not just for their strange ability to appear and disappear at will, but also their unsettling wailing calls when visible and their eerie way of stalking humans that they encounter. So little of the "how" and "why" is known about them that several organizations have dispatched scientists to study the Lamenters and exclusively to bring back a living sample. You are one such scientist.
