Camp Haskin

Camp Haskin was a U.S. Army base located in the Pleiku Province of Vietnam, near the Cambodian border. It was established in 1966 and named after Major William Haskin, who was killed in action in Vietnam that year. The base was used as a logistical and support facility for U.S. and South Vietnamese troops. It was also used to train South Vietnamese soldiers. The base was equipped with a number of amenities, including a mess hall, a post exchange, and a medical clinic. Camp Haskin was located in a remote and isolated area of the Central Highlands, and it was subjected to frequent enemy attacks. The base was surrounded by barbed wire and other defensive measures to protect against enemy infiltration. Despite these measures, the base was occasionally targeted by enemy rockets and mortars.
