About
The Second Chōshū expedition, also known as the Summer War, was a conflict between Chōshū Domain and forces of the Tokugawa Shogunate in Western Japan. Historically, the expedition was absolutely destroyed by the Chōshū, even though they were outnumbered 40 to 1, due to their modernization.
