About
24 miles outside Dallas, in the town of Red Oak, sits Lone Star Grille in the long abandoned Kmart Plaza. Due to Kmart's sales decline, The Red Oak Kmart location closed in late 1992. The AM radio station KPJD, closed in 1985, and the Fotomat closed in 1987. Currently Blockbuster Video and Lone Star Grille are the only open tenants of the plaza. Lone Star Grille is a small yet comfortable diner where many come around for their famous cherry pies or excellent coffee.
