The Christ the Redeemer, located on top of Corcovado Hill, is one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Inaugurated in 1931, this 30-metre-high monument, created by engineer Heitor da Silva Costa with the support of French sculptor Paul Landowski, offers stunning panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro at 710 meters above sea level.
