In 2033 a nuclear exchange between the world's leading powers led to the world's doom, and then it became cold. Just months after the exchange, the world started heating up. Most of it became a desert in the next 30 years. Nations became tribes and city states, people became scavs. Most law was gone besides some of the most powerful city states. The game at current takes place in the county of Whitecliff, in Oregon. The place used to hold much natural beauty, even having a national park, but now its little more than a desert.
