The Spencer Estate, home to the Spencer family for five centuries. The 1st Earl and his daughter Lady Georgiana Spencer, future Duchess of Devonshire threw extravagant parties at Althorp for the cultural and political elite of the 18th century. Diana, Princess of Wales grew up at Althorp with her two older sisters, Lady Sarah and Lady Jane Spencer, as well as her younger brother.
