The Ion Cannon was a deterrent for any hostiles in orbit, and it was powered with a mysterious substance collected from the titanic trees that covered Florana's surface. The dense jungles hid many who harbored ill will towards the Zeralians tasked with the upkeep of the outpost and incursions with the goal of destroying the outpost were very commonplace.
