The year is 1992, the USSR collapsed just a few months ago. Things aren't looking too good on the ex-soviet Breakaway island of Buransk. The economy is in shambles, food shortages are the new normal, crimes are rampant. Local gangsters, communists and the democratic party are trying to get ahold of the government. In Break-Away, you must survive during these harsh times. Enforce the law, cause crime and havoc, or work in a factory.. the choice is yours.
