Menevell Center Mall

Menevell Center Mall opened in 1968 with Ward's, Mervyn's, The Broadway, and J. W. Robinsons. In 1985 a Carmike Cinemas and a Sear s were added onto the mall. In 1991, the J. W. Robinsons closed before the merger with the May Co. The Broadway closed in 1996 and was converted to a Macy's. The J. W. Robinsions was demolished because of a roof collapse due to water damage. A D illard's was built and opened in 1997. The Ward's announced they would close their location at the mall in 2001.
