About & history
In August 1974 Sanctuary Square Mall opened to immense success. With 5 colored courts, Blue, Peony, Shamrock, Amber, and Ruby respectively, and an extra concourse in the basement themed after a German streetscape, the mall was filled with over a hundred stores. Its three anchors upon opening were Millard's Departments, Dime's Outlet Store, and Spinstyle. Spinstyle would close a week after opening, and the space would be vacated. In 1975, the fourth anchor to open at the mall would be Montblockery Ward. Later that year, Troger, a supermarket chain, would open in an unplanned anchor plat. Lastly, in 1976 Tears would open in the former Spinstyle anchor expanding by adding two floors and more space. They would also build an auto center across the road. By 1976, the power bill was way higher than it should've been. Major downsizing had to occur. The year this version takes place in is the addition of a parking garage. Hopefully everything goes well footraffic wise!
