Rancho Los Cerritos is part of Manuel Nieto's land grant, which was divided to his children, this one went to Manuela Nieto, who sold it to John Temple, a Massachusetts businessman who married a Mexican lady, letting him own land in this time. He built this ranchouse, later sold to the Bixbys, the most famous family in Long Beach, CA, USA. Later, it was given to the City of Long Beach as a museum. - Decided to make it Bixby - era.
