Motton Academy

School year 1985-1986 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Motton Academy, formerly known as Motton Collegiate Institute, is a private boarding school located in Motton, Maine. Currently, it has 1200+ students enrolled. In 1979, fifty-two seniors from Bates High School had their graduation held here after Bates was destroyed during the Black Prom. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ In June 1986, following the death of Clarice Beaumont, seventeen students from Motton Academy died in a bridge collapse that took the lives of eighty-three people.
