The zombie apocalypse

a fantastic catastrophic scenario of horror films, horror and computer games: an epidemic that turns people into aggressive living dead cannibals and leading to the collapse of civilization. The notions of zombies and zombie apocalypse began to exist not as a scheme for films of a certain genre, but as a kind of cliche applicable to a variety of genres and directions of mass culture [1] [2]. The post-apocalyptic novel "I am a Legend" (1954), where, however, it was not about zombies, but about reasonable vampires - victims of mosquitoes carrying "vampiric" infection [3] became fundamental for the notion of zombie apocalypse. Zombies in their traditional form - like bloodthirsty living dead - were introduced in the low-budget 1968 film Night of the Living Dead, in which several heroes find themselves in a country house under the siege of many zombies.
