Phalanx Joint Operations Center

Phalanx Joint Operations Base is a garrison and air control station located on the desert planet of Batonn in service to the Stormtrooper Corps, Imperial Navy, and the Starfighter Corps during the early reign of the Galactic Empire, prior to the civil war. Abandoned long ago by the Grand Army of the Republic during a massive Separatist invasion of the region, Phalanx Base was left to accumulate dust and fell into disrepair as a result of all GAR forces withdrawing from the planet. It was a broken ruin by the time of the proclomation of the New Order. After the rise of the Empire, Emperor Palpatine had an interest to reinstall a legion on Batonn in order to secure the planetary mining and terraforming industries. The then Admiral Thrawn was successful in a brutal campaign to wipe out the remnants of the Confederacy and a growing pirate insurgency. He came out victorious, and Phalanx Base was restored.
