Rideau Hall (formally known as Government House) is the official residence in Ottawa of both the governor general and the sovereign of Canada. Sitting on an 88-acre property owned and maintained by the Crown, the main building also serves the official offices of the King's Privy Council of Canada, the Chancellery of Honours, and the Canadian Heraldic Authority.
