Kariba, Zimbabwe

Kariba is a City, a Lake, and a Dam. The station provides hydroelectricity for huge parts of Africa and serves as a point of national pride for the Republic of Zimbabwe, though disputes about the ownership of the dam between Zambia who legally own half of the Kariba Lake. Following the compromise of 1979, and the opening of the country to tourists, Kariba rebounded. At it's heart it's a city of tourists, people come from South Africa to the United States to see the worlds largest man-made reservoir and the beauty of Africa. Kariba grew rapidly, becoming a City, but due to it's position on the Zambian border, it's a place of large scale smuggling of weaponry, resulting in the need for a larger military presence. Recent events has caused the BSAP to call on national security forces to ensure order in the city, though the city remains open to the large flow of tourists from around the world.
