1861: Union Lines (Beta)

1861: Union Lines is inspired by the American Civil War, when the North fought against the South. The game takes inspiration from titles like Guts & Blackpowder and Lexington & Concord. If you enjoy this game, you should try those as well. It uses a player-vs-bot format for obvious reasons. This is a work of realistic fiction, so not everything is exactly the same as real life. Some details have been adjusted to make the gameplay work, but the game still tries to stay as accurate to the Civil War as possible. All of the maps are based on real battles, so if you look them up, you can get an idea of what each map is modeled after. The classes are also not completely accurate to real life. For example, there was no such thing as a “Line Breaker,” but the classes are inspired by the kinds of tactical roles soldiers might have filled. Above all, this game is meant to be fun, but there is no reason you cannot incorporate real battle strategies into your gameplay.
