The Holy City of Jedha, an ancient and sacred site, is located on the cold desert moon of NiJedha. Revered as a spiritual center for believers in the Force, the city attracts pilgrims from across the galaxy who came to worship and seek enlightenment. At its heart stands the Temple of the Kyber, tied to the mysterious Kyber crystals that once powered the Jedi's lightsabers. Around 0 BBY, the Galactic Empire began its occupation. With a Star Destroyer looming overhead, they extracted these crystals relentlessly. What they're being used for, nobody knows for sure.
