Abbaye Royale de Quedlinbourg

Royal Abbey of Quedlinburg Quedlinburg Abbey was founded on the initiative of Saint Matilda of Ringelheim, established in 936 AD. Historically, Quedlinburg has been one of the most infamous and wealthiest abbeys in Europe, used as a site of pilgrimage and great spiritual value. The abbey is home to a collection of antique artifacts and holy relics, along with the infamous Quedlinburg Chronicles- a large series of writings about German history and religion written in the Medieval period by the nuns of the abbey. This is a place of peace and worship and is to be respected as such.
