Hidden on an island off the coast of Canada, named Mould Bay, a mysterious secret lies beneath the ice sheets coating the rocky island. A complex facility holding many dark secrets within, contained for the greater good of humanity. Anomalous entities called "SCPs" are kept behind closed doors, protected by the courageous staff who risk their lives every day to protect the fate of humanity: dying in the dark to let humanity live in the light. SCI-489 is a relatively fresh installment in the SCP Foundation's arsenal of global and clandestine facilities, operating under funding from local governments relative to the location of the sites. You could enter as a Class-D - previously a death row inmate - and either volunteer your life to researching the anomalous properties of the so-called SCPs, or rebel against the foundation to side with the Chaos Insurgency. Or you could file an application to join the ranks of the Foundation, and take on various different roles. The choice is yours.
