Pinewood Court of Appeals

The Pinewood Courts aims to give all members a voice to their punishment being lifted. Evidence and witnesses can attend and the whole case is presented to a Jury, who can determine an appropriate banishment time (AKA a disposition). Such a process for appealing a ban influences offenders to not repeat offenses. Repeat offenses result in a permanent and mostly unredeemable banishment. PROCESS: 1) An officer's synopsis of the situation will be read aloud to the courtroom by the bailiff. (2m) 3) The defendant will give his or her side of the story (2-5m) 4) The plaintiff will give his or her side of the story (2-5m) 5) The Jury will ask questions to both the plaintiff and the defendant in order to make a decision. (10m) 6) The Jury will deliberate (discuss) in a separate room to make a collective decision. The Jury is to decide if the banned person is guilty or not guilty.
