It was decommissioned in 1852, however, after various decisions, the Republic established a major fort once again in its place where the Second Fort Graham was built along a river of great strategic importance where in the middle lies the Village of Maria Jose, the Republic saw the fort's inner placing and good geographical features as a great Major Fort, and is the Army of the Republic's main fort now. Today, we hold this Fort and Village against any hostile forces that may try and take it. However it's mainly used today as a training base used by the Army to professionalize their skills.
