About & history
Concept In Dawnbound, time isn’t on your side. The game’s mechanics centers around a day and night cycle where players keep their lanterns lit in the darkness or the night to avoid meeting a tragic end. Every 3 days brings a slightly longer night, increasing the game’s difficulty. Dawnbound challenges players with three unique puzzles set within a manor. Throughout the map, lantern recharge stations are available for players to relight their lanterns. Connection to Theme: Rather than making "Time is the enemy" theme about each individual second and minute, we focused on the aspect of days slipping by, having to rush our "work" during the night. Key Puzzles Eras: Players must complete a sliding puzzle featuring 11 world events, arranging them chronologically from the oldest. Mirrors: Players must rotate mirrors to direct beams of light onto a crystal found on the bed. Timezone: Players must utilize a functioning clock and a timezone map to correct the time on 3 hidden broken clocks.
