Granny has had another victim before you, and that victim is probably the skeleton in the Sewer Cell, on the Shed's roof you can see the word "Help" written with blood, in the basement you can see blood on the floor, prior to him being on the 5th day and him dying, In the Dirt Room we can find a letter left by the guy, and his car is probably the one you can escape with in the garage. And you might also ask "Why is there Slenderina's mom locked up?" Well that's because It would appear Granny’s daughter has become acquainted to some ritual, as if that 'book' that is needed starts something because it frees her. That is until she turns into a spider. It may be some demonic activity that is related to the already pre-existing pictures you can find in the bookshelf which have a lot of spider and caged imagery (freaky stuff Ngl). So that explains how she became a spider and was relocated underneath the house, which is conveniently where Granny made a sewer area.
