Magnolia View Plaza Was A shopping center Nestled Not Too Far from Chicago, Illinois. It opened in 1976 with a Sears, Penney's, And Jewel. They had originally 11 tenants but as the mall gained more traction, more tenants moved in. in 1985, The Jewel Closed and Was Turned into Mervyn's. in 1996, a man was attacked Outside of the mall Due to Gang Members That Had Been Scouting Out the Area. In 2000, The Mall Had to Temporarily Close the Mervyn's Wing Due to the Ceiling Caving In. In 2005, Mervyn's Closed Its Store Leaving the Building to Be Demolished. In 2016, JCPenney Closed After 40 Years in Service. In 2018 A Storage Facility Moved Into The Former JCPenney space. In 2020, Sears Had Announced That They Were Closing Thier Location. In 2021, Sears Closed, Leaving the Mall abandoned With No Future plans. in 2023 A Man Was Electrocuted Trying To Steal Copper wire, This Deemed the Structure Unsafe.
