I sit here like a lone transmission on a far away frequency Emitting such a powerful signal that will never be received Encrypted data of all my pain Invisible to the normal eye I remain unseen to those around me Only few can hear me sing Nothing lasts forever And soon my time will come The transmitter will be shut off The signal will be gone The frequency will be completely silent All that will be left is a distant echo of my transmission shrouded in the noise floor I look into the sky I wonder why I even try Is this life really worth it? In the end I'll be forgotten Lost to time and no one will notice Sometimes I long for my sweet release And so I transmit this signal day-by-day In hopes that maybe I won't fade away Maybe someone will find what's left of me Maybe some day my signal will be received Until then I remain in this isolated frequency Surrounded by the background noise of the ionosphere around me. - Angel
