A mysterious, uninteligible, parasitic-fungal, form of biomass, hallucination-inducing, mind-influencing, paranormal phenomenon known publicly as the 'decay' has been a contemporary issue since the 2020s has become increasingly stronger, leading to outbreaks and cities being devoured by the decay.
