The Ozark Mountains

Long ago, rumors began circulating around the Ozarks about a monster which prowls the wilderness. A demonic being that stalks hikers and campers who overstay their welcome in its part of the forest. Those who claim to have seen the monster say they watched in terror as it ripped the souls right out of their friends' bodies, then wore the skin of its victims to lure more people into an identical fate. These rumors have been told for so long that many have come to believe them. Some even added to them, saying that a prophecy was written that tells of a brave warrior being raised up to slay the monster, and free the souls of all who've fallen to its hand. However, these rumors are nothing more than... well, rumors. Such rumors should not be taken seriously, and we would like to inform those interested in visiting us that we have an amazing team of officials who are constantly making sure that these forests are not only maintained, but safe for all types of outdoor recreation.
