The Wizard of Oz Live! {Arena Tour}

⛔ CLOSED ⛔ On March 22nd, 1989, the financially unsuccessful and creatively disastrous adaptation, "The Wizard of Oz Live!", premiered – a worldwide arena tour staging where Glinda sprouted gigantic butterfly wings, the Wicked Witch appeared sporting a bright red plumed pilgrim hat and matching costume, the dialogue and songs were prerecorded, and the Munchkins were two feet taller than Dorothy! Critics bashed this touring production up and down the streets, first scaling its schedule back (it was originally supposed to travel to over 70 cities!), and then finally ending it, and with good reason. It quietly closed with no fanfare in 1990. Now, I'll bring this actually good version of it to you on March 22nd in 2029. It will tour until March 22nd in 2031.
