Permafrost 2042 [BETA!!!]

During the early 2030's the events of forced global industrialization cause global warming threats to be at an all time high, humanity comes up with a way to save the worlds impending scorch by releasing a cooling agent into the atomsophere. The cooling agent alters the suns effect on the planet causing the world to begin to freeze and dramaticly a solar-flare impacts just weeks after frying all technology. The world has been doomed to freeze eternally, and its already been 20 years after the great freeze. It is now 2150 and the entire world has turned into a ruined tundra of snow and ice. A survivng community in Portland Oregon has turned to the metro system to escape the dangers of the surface. Where does your story begin?
