After the collapse of the United States in 1965, the newly independent Alaska found itself isolated and vulnerable to external threats. Rich in oil and natural resources, it quickly became a strategic target. After years of brutal stalemate in the frozen wasteland, Russian forces, unable to break the deadlock, resorted to nuclear weapons as a final measure. As a result, the land descended into chaos and what remained of society resembled a lawless, frozen Wild West.
