Nakagawachō Nakagawachō is an old (IMAGINARY) Hanamachi, dating back to 1827. It's home to beautiful alleyways , modern Japanese hotels , many cafes and most importantly Geisha! This Hanamachi has lots of history ,huge events and even housing famous Geishas! It's one of Kyotos gems, and one of the many reasons you should visitit! This district has 2 seasonal events : 弥生 - Yayoi Odori , Marks the arrival of Spring in the district , performed in late March. 木鼠 - Kinezumi Odori , Marks the arrival of Autumn in the district ,performed in October. These two Odoris are a way to celebrate the arrival of Spring and Autmn , and they are Heavily celebrated in their own way. These dances are old and date back to 1832, Both created by Yoshie Hitohana II .
