M a t a Nui (Location)

M a t a Nui was an island located on the ocean moon of Aqua M a g na, which was a gigantic chunk that broke off of S p h e r us M a g na. The island was named after the Great Spirit by T u r a ga Va k a ma. History The origins of M a t a Nui began with the Great Spirit it was named after. A duty the Great Spirit was tasked with accomplishing was the observation of other worlds. This was to be accomplished by M a t a Nui landing on a planet and concealing his face under an island of stone and local flora by means of E ne r gi z ed Proto d er mis. When Ma ku ta Te rid a x used a Ma ku ta Virus to bring the Great Spirit into a deep slumber, he crashed on Aqua M a g na. The sudden landing caused a malfunction in his camouflage systems, which, along with leaking E ne r g i z ed Proto d e r mis, created the island paradise of M a t a Nui.
