Valle Addolorata

-> It was the 12th year of Miraflorian occupation. Three hundred Montanari rebels hid among the tall rye crops that spread among the entire valley, awaiting the arrival of the notoriously brutal Duke Lanio and his army, that came to inspect the local peasants. -> But Lanio already knew, and in an act of calculated sadіsm, the Duke ordered the entire field to be burned down on the spot. The flame burnеd alive the rebels, sure, but also innocent children, women, and elders that were working in the field. -> The destruction took the lives of over a thousand people, erased the entire year's harvest, and led to severe food shortages. To make it worse, half of the duchy's food supply was permanently gone, as the entire valley became scorched and infertile. -> After the massacre, mothers and widows of the fallen soldiers came to the valley to mourn their dead loved ones every single night until they died themselves. And in that day, this once fertile valley in Southern Montanari died too.
