Fort Dawnguard, Velothi Mountains

SHOWCASE GAME! Hidden deep inside the Velothi Mountains, Fort Dawnguard serves as the headquarters of an order of vampire hunters known as the Dawnguard Order. The fort itself dates back to at least the Second Era, when the noble son of the Jarl of Riften, through adventurous pursuits, contracted vampirism. Refusing to kill his only child, the Jarl commissioned the fort's construction and alongside it contracted a large mercenary force, named the "Dawnguard", to keep his son quarantined inside the fort. There are only rumors as to what happened next, but either way the fort fell into a state of disrepair and was eventually abandoned, until years later it was restored in order to oppose the Volkihar Clan of vampires.
