I joined the game, about to begin my journey, but I noticed a metal door behind me. The hallway stretched endlessly, dim lights flickering above and shadows crawling along the walls. Against the wall, a keycard sat on the sofa, strangely out of place in the cold, industrial surroundings. I picked it up, its smooth surface cold in my hands, and walked toward the keycard reader mounted beside the metal door. Sliding the card into the reader, I heard a satisfying click as the lights on the panel blinked green. The metal door groaned as it slowly slid open, revealing a corridor that twisted and turned in impossible ways. The hum of machinery echoed through the halls, sometimes swelling into a low roar, sometimes fading into silence so complete it made my heartbeat feel deafening. Every step forward made the U Section feel more alive, as if the walls themselves were watching me.
