Ridgeway County, State of Ridgeway Ridgeway County is the primary county within the State of Ridgeway which holds the town of the County Seat. Founded on August 2nd, 2025, Ridgeway County brings many new employment opportunities both within municipal departments and government positions. Ridgeway was duly named after its convenient location for travelers on the Oregon Trail who had become fatigued or ill. Because of the region's fertile lands, abundant resources, and economic location, Ridgeway became known as the gateway to the West.
