A group of scientists wanted to bring back cenozoic creatures, so they got dna from frozen samples trapped in permafrost, and created another group of cenozoic creatures. (Creatures: kelenken, phorusracos, mammoth, smilodon, dodo, elasmotherium, moa, megatherium, buffalo, arctodus, titanis, bald eagle, and more! )
