About & history
The barracks were established, on the site of the former RAF South Cerney airbase, in 1971, when 29 Movement Control Regiment Royal Corps of Transport (now 29 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps) moved there. 29 Regiment is responsible for management of the Joint Air Mounting Centre ('JAMC') which handles processing, baggage checks, feeding and travel to RAF Brize Norton for military personnel about to be deployed overseas.
