About
Kaizu Castle (海津城), was a strategically important fortress located in Shinano Province, near Lake Suwa. It played a crucial role during the Sengoku and Azuchi–Momoyama periods as a frontline stronghold and logistical base for the Takeda Clan, (武田氏). It was held by one of The Takeda clan's retainers, The Naitō Clan (内藤氏). They served as it's administrators when the Takeda forces were not stationed there.
