On January 7th, 2026, Roblox will launch an update that will require you to scan your face, or use ID verification to chat, and restrict your ability to chat to only those in your age group. This update spells doom for player privacy and for many games on Roblox which rely on chat from people of all ages. Enjoy it while you can.
